Tapping Into Local Resources to Supplement Outside Help by: Kenneth Phiri
Along with the benefits of foreign aid comes the risk of dependency, which diminishes the ability of those who are receiving aid to creatively address the problem on their own. To counter this, local resources must be incorporated into the relief effort so that they may both complement and supplement the assistance of foreign aid.

He is a graduate of Nazarene Theological College in Johannesburg, South Africa, and has been involved in Youth Ministry for many years, as well as short term mission trips.
